xDuke 1.98(1)

The third chapter in the series, and the first with a 3D perspective (the original Duke Nukem and the sequel, Duke Nukem II, are side scrolling platform games). This game, set sometime in the early 21st century, begins in a ravaged LA, which was overtaken by aliens while you were abducted during Duke Nukem II. Duke, upon returning to Earth, finds himself with another mess to clean up, and another alien race that needs exterminating. Duke is a can-do hero who realizes that sometimes innocent people have to die in order to save Earth, so accuracy of gun fire is not a real concern to him. :)

About S60 version :
xDuke should be better and faster than JFDuke,
it has also different features.

Installation Instructions:
  1. Install SISx file
  2. Put data files into the Duke3D folder on memorycard i.e e:\duke3d
  3. Enjoy ! ;)
Download:

Note: It also supports MP3/OGG music, just put music files into the music folder  e:\duke3d\music or e:\duke3d\tunes

If the game does not start or it has no sound, remove the config file (CFG) Fail in your Duke3D

  5. XDuke seems to be running slower than the latest release of the JFDuke on my Nokia 6120 Classic, whenever there's an enemy on the screen the frame rates drop significantly, rendering the game unplayable whereas the older port, JFDuke works just fine, what could be the problem?

  6. Hey anotherguest
I totally enjoy your ports and play the old classics.

When playing episode 4 The Birth on XDuke, all the "new content" from episode 4 is broken. I.e. All new enemies don't move and new props are not breakable. Any idea or plans to fix that?
Probably the new stuff was written in the code of the original Atomic Edition (D3D 1.5) and putting the Atomic Edition .wad in the game includes all the new stuff, but the supporting code is missing from your XDuke.
Any plans to include that stuff so the episode 4 is properly playable?

  7. Me again

    Sorry it's working perfectly fine.
I clean reinstalled xDuke and made a fresh folder with only the Duke3d.grp file.
Previously I simply installed xDuke over JFDuke and copied the atomic wad/grp file over the standard version.
    Episode 4 now works flawlessly
    Thanks man!
