Installation Instructions:
  1. Install SISx file
  2. Put data files into the D2X folder on memorycard i.e e:\d2x

    Lol, despite the obvious initial confusion, the controls set right make the game totally playable and enjoyable! I'll make a youtube video sometime soon to show you guys my idea of a phone keymap for the mighty Descent :)

    Hi all ! Can tell me somebody who knew ,how many Ram this game is need to work ? I did all that need ,but the game not worked...I try shareware pc version of Descent 2 ...Test 6120c not work,when i tap on icon of game it bring me back in menu of phone.What to do?

      It is 16 Megabytes, according to the CPUMonitor before and after launching the game. Looks like your phone should handle the game with its 18 Megabytes free, but who knows, I'm no specialist...

      You know, I have the same trouble as yours after I've sucsessfully ran the game at least once, and after that - the same happens, until I delete all the files (exept for the player file with .plr extension) from the C:\D2X\ folder (the one that contains some SDL stuff and not the actual game files). Maybe you should try that too.

    >PrisonPlanet thank you for your help :)In my C/D2X folder was only two files: stdrin,stdrout.I delete them ,but it not help,the files about you sayed i don t find in folder C/D2X , was only this two files that i say already up.Or, I not there discover ?P.s.sorry my bad english :)Hello to you,from Ukraine ;)

    Firstly, guys, greets from Russia :) Sid, I suspect you're have slavic roots as well, am I right? :)
    Secondly, we are both correct on SDL files placement, because the in-bulit File Manager shows C:\Data\ content as C:\ in most phones, so yeah, Max, you found the right folder. Unfortunately my method did not help you, and I don't know what to do next, maybe AG will have some insight for the problem, but I suspect that there is indeed not enough RAM to run this game on your phone...

    >PrisonPlanet and i think so to :) Probably not enough free memory :( But it is not of the end of the world for me ! ;) I will try to load a full version of this game... if destiny ,the game will be run,or if not destiny i will destroy my 6120c ,and go by in use N82 ;))

      Well yeah, N82 is more suitable for AG's games (and ALL s60 games for that matter) and you can run Quake 3 on it, which is something even my E5 cannot do! :)

    This game does not work on my N82; I can run demo, and edit settings, but after starting game it just crashes.

    Anotherguest is great as always. But Descent2 doesn't work. Tried with various s60v3 models (N86, N95-3, E90, all 128MB, so no memory issue), and all the same: It starts normally and after the menus it crashes (Both demo & full game). Then I delete the config files, and the same again.

    First of all, I thank you for your effort to bring these games on symbian, they bring so much memories of the good old gaming days.

    My problem is that I installed SiSx file and put game data files from cd into e:\data\d2x and also tried as e:\d2x The game ran once but it never ran again.

    Is there specific file names that does not need to be in d2x from original cd that are causing conflict?

    Thank you, I really would like to see this game running on my N8 like many other games obtained from your site.
